Nikon lenses and color

Just a quick question about Nikon branded lenses.

Do you think that all Nikon lenses are going to reproduce color close enough across the lineup that using multiple Nikon lenses on the same camera, during the same shoot, will not necessarily cause the footage to require color correction?

Lenses, or era of lenses, in question are the:

18-55 VR kit lens
60mm AF D lens
70-210 AF D lens
28-70 AF D lens
50mm AF D lens

Thanks !!!

The short answer to your question is no - you will experience slight color change using different nikkors - . even two 50mm AF-D's that were built on different days wont look the same, at least if you pixel pick. overall, the color change might be so slight, that its unnoticeable.

Thanks for that !

I am not worried about over critically being "the same", I was just worried about obvious "night and day" differences. Coming from the camcorders, as long as they were the same brand, I really never worried much about matching.

The AF-D lenses will all have the same color cast as they are part of the same product line. The 18-55 Kit will have a very slight move towards a cooler temperature, but other than that they should be almost identical color temperatures.
