Nikon Lens Rental?

Hey guys,

I'm going to be doing a shoot where I require a long nikon lens. Maybe a 300, 400 or 600? not sure yet. I just can't afford to buy one. (I have an M2 and if I wanted to buy one, I'd get the fast 2.8f-stop)
So I thought of renting one, but I'm not sure if this is an item that is readily available at rental house? any thought?

Thanks,

Luis

Sammys rents nikons. We got a few from there for some testing. Be sure to check it out in shop though because some were not that great in condition.

Try Calumet. They have offices around the US, and they rent all 35mm lenses. I've rented from them before. You just have to put a deposit and you're set.

Most major cities should have pro rental houses; I used one near the John Wayne Ariport (out your way) that was really well equipped. (I'm in Dallas, and dragging a bunch of c-stands and packs on a plane.... noooooo....)

The local shop here has the 400 2.8; that's a $10,000+ hunk of glass.... mmmmm....
