Hi, I am sure U ve already found this LCDVF (link: http://lcdvf.com/ )
and the first proto test can be read here: http://www.cinema5d.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4924

It is originaly made for canon 5D but today I got a mail from TONIS:

"We are working on Nikon mount LCDVF "Light" as it is much cheaper and safer to do than for Canon cameras."

So I think it is great news who is looking for something like that.

This does look interesting, and it might be useful for some purposes.
Good: It will be cheaper than a monitor. But it sticks your head to the back of the camera - not so good for a director-camera operator, but OK for a camera operator..
I am assuming that anyone interested in this is interested in finding focus. I have found that even with the excellent LCD the D90 offers, what looks in focus may not be in focus on a larger screen, eg TV. This depends to some extent on the lens (the longer, the tougher to pick from the LCD of course). The question for me is, does an LCD viewfinder nail focus?

The other problem we face, is the slight delay between image capture on the sensor and on the LCD back. (Incidentally, for anyone who works with a monitor through the HDMI port, is this delay still in evidence? I'm assuming it is).

This is useful information. Thank you for posting it.
