Nikon G lens to Canon camera adapter work with older Nikon (non-G Nikon) lenses?

That's a great question!!! I don't have an answer, but have a similiar situation about a Nikkor H lense adapting to the Canon 5D M2. I bought the adaptor, and it works fine on the other Nikon/Nikkor lenses when I moung them to the Canon. This one just doesn't quite get the quarter turn to lock it in. I've searched on a coupla sites, but haven't found an answer. Anyone got answers?
 
I chose fotodiox-pro for my adapter. It does not have the chip. The problem as far as I know is actually G-lenses. They of course do not have adjustable external aperture rings. Novoflex is now offering adapters for g-lenses too.
