Nikon Expects Widest Loss in 11 Years as Prices Fall

The losses in their DSLRs weren't so bad. I think where they really lost their shirt was in their chip-making equipment sales: what?? I believe Nikon sells a lot of industrial photo equipment to chip makers like Intel and korean semi-conductor makers, and those boded badly during the downturn.

As a longtime Nikon shooter I am hopeful they will release a D700x that shoots 1080 video. If they are able to do video with this full frame 35mm sensor body they could have a real hit on their hands.

The D3 has really done well for them and I have seen a lot of fellow pro Canon shoots switch to Nikon because of this system.

well I'll be glad to help out Nikon. All they have to do is make the right camera!!

serves them right for making a camera that shuts down all the time from overheating......I could go on.

I don't think that Scarlet and these DSLRs will be competing for the same customers. I am not planning on getting a Scarlet unless someone can buy me all the accessories, lenses, and hardware to use it. Not to mention that I love the DLSR low lighting, and that it looks like a still camera.
