nikon D90 depth of field and color grading

a comment on the grading test: while the sepia tint works really well for the nature elements it really messes up the skintones, and it's sad that the blue in his jeans, which looks beautiful in the original, looks just dirty now. try adding some cyan or blue to the shadows, a secondary for the skintones, and maybe even one for the jeans. oh, and adding the blue to the shadows will make them deeper already, so no need to crush the blacks as much. good luck.
 
Can you elaborate on what you used to correct color? Did the first video have any color correction done? I really love the look.

I have a hard time replicating these types of results and im not sure what im doing wrong in my workflow. ( i have done zero color correction so far, working with Microsoft Movie maker, so looking for a free or cheap way to color correct)

What is this neat plugin?
