Nikon D800E (not D800!) with Mosaic Filter

Hey,

Has anyone tried that? I know you might think this defeats the purpose of the D800E, but this might give you the Extra sharpness for stills and the option of using your D800E on video mode without (or with very little) moire and aliasing by placing the mosaic filter when needed.

Just wondering if anybody tried that given the fact the filter is not out to the masses yet.

Here's Mr. Bloom with it BUT on a D800:

He also said:

'The 800e more and aliases all over the place and is next to useless for video. It NEEDS the olpf.'

But if you use the mosaic filter on it, would it become useless for video shooting then?

I'll appreciate any comments, opinions, facts, etc ;)

Thank you,

BATman
