Nikon D800

yeah seriously, nikon rumors is really ridiculous. the only time they post any quality news is when its not a secret is engadget beats them to the punch already

The thing is, given a d-slr's lifecycle, the rumor is almost guaranteed to eventually happen- Ie a 1080p Nikon. Lets just hope that they don't make it 30p only... but other than that its probably just a matter of time.

yeah, but nikon rumors just creates these fabulous lies in the spirit of getting more user hits and being paid through ads. 'inside information' they have about upcoming products are well covered on other websites, and the 'anonymous' information they get is usually bogus.

as to the post before this one, i guess your right but you can say that about anything. its like me calling a 1080p camera phone some day.

i do hope nikon does make the camera you describe and for nikon rumors to basically stfu

I'm content with 720p. I can live with heavy compression, rolling shutter and stair stepping. But what I really need is manual ISO and shutter control. I can see 50hz scrolling waves being a real pain in the arse here in PAL land.

There's nothing Nikon can put in a D??? that they can't fix in firmware for the D90.

i can understand you being able to live with heavy compression and stair stepping (which can be fixed in post) because you enjoy the nitty gritty look, but rolling shutter is just unforgivable!

Full manual controls apparently, not sure on the flavour of HD (720/1080).

I really want Nikon to come out with a 5d competitor soon, the 5D has some REALLY clean footage, but I gotta control myself.
