Nikon D800 in the British Virgin Islands

I just finished a week in the BVI shooting with a Nikon D800 - check out the video below.

British Virgin Islands "Voyage" HD - Nikon D800

For the lenses I used the Nikkor 24mm/1.4 and 85mm/1.8 primes, so it was helpful with the D800's ability to record in both FX and DX format. For stabilization I used a Glidecam HD2000. The underwater shots were taken with a GoPro and RX100 (which unfortunately got fried due to a leaky underwater housing).

Anyways, hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I did making it. Leave a comment, thanks!

Thanks for posting. Great shooting. I really like the images you are getting with the D800. The lack of mud in the shadows and correct color really put the D800 at the top of the VDSLR food chain. I am very close to switching to the D800 from Canon for my still and video work.

One question, how is the jello with the D800? Does it compare to a normal video camera or is it still quite bad (normal DSLR) in comparison?

Thanks

Great video. It brought back lots of memories. I especially liked the shots of the North Sound, Virgin Gorda, of course The Baths are always fun, unless it’s too crowed.Looks like you were at Cooper Island, I hope you tried the conk fritters and pain killers. Did you dive the RMS Rhone? Always spectacular.
