Nikon D800 HDMI out

Somewhat new to video;
I've been trying to find the best solution (cost effective) to record from the D800 to an external device (I cannot be limited by the 20min/30min record time in-camera). I've heard about devices such as the Atomos Ninja etc., but was wondering if it's possible to record from the D800 directly to a macBook via HDMI to firewire or thunderbolt with Adobe Flash MediaLive Encoder?
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

You may have to write the software code needed, or use the WT-4 wireless?

You are also going to need a power source.
The En-El15 will last a little more than an hour.
At 70 minutes I had less than 1/3 left.
 
Yes you can record to any device that has an HDMI input and software to read the HDMI and save to the HDD.
