Hey everybody. I just bought a Nikon D7100. Now Canonfolk found that their cameras have native ISOs which were less noisy. They were multiple of 160. So they were: 160, 320, 640, 1250. I tried the cap testing thing but, maybe I am dumb and I have never done this before, it came out super clean blacks all the time. Even on Hi 1.0. Can anyone tell me what are the native ISOs on Nikon D7100?

They are not native, they are just pushed down digitally. So if the native ISO is for example 400, when you use 320 it's basically 400 but pushed one stop down to get 320 (this cleans up the shadows when shooting h264).

So, what you guys are saying is that even on nikon multiples of 160 is goin to work best like on canon?

I didn't say that, I was just talking about Canon, and Nikon could be completely different. Somebody with a Nikon should check :p
