Nikon D7000 - WHY WON'T "LIVE-VIEW" WORK w/AC ADAPTER ??

While shooting extended time-lapse with my Nikon D7000 in the studio, for some reason the Live-View option is cancelled out when the camera is connected to an AC Adapter.

Is there any way to have the camera connected to the AC Adapter AND be able to use Live-View?

Thanks.

When I shoot macro, I use the ac adapter on the D7000 and have the hdmi output going to a monitor. works fine.

I'm sorry, but that won't work. I "need" it to be in Live-View to help with the flicker problem that is so common with DSLRs.

It is not that I want a monitor. I don't even care about "seeing" it once the time-lapse has started.

Thanks anyway.
