Nikon D600 gradient problem

What are you shooting in. Shoot the same kind of day overcast with (take a reading in Aperture priority) set the cam to manual and use the settings you got from A.
Don't let the camera control anything... and if you are shooting at 24p then your shutter speed should be set to 1/50 if 30p then 1/60th to get a 180 degree shutter angle.
I am not sure if this will help with your camera system, but it's a start.
