I really need some help guys/gals

This is my gear:
  1. Nikon d5100 (as you know audio settings are Auto/H/M/L)
  2. Zoom H1 recorder
  3. Rode VideoMic
  4. Rode Stereo Video Mic Pro
  5. Sescom LN2MIC-ZMH4-MON 3.5mm Line to Mic with 25dB Attenuator
  6. Small crappy clip on mic works well (I could plug that directly into the zoom h1 if you so advise)
Right.
I have 3 scenarios and would ideally avoid post syncing (if I can although I know how to do it) cos of the options I guess will come from the above gear...

Scenario 1
Short 45-60 sec interview with some dude talking about how great his new product is.
Gonna use good lighting.
Gonna use a nice new black screen.
Video sorted.

What do your expert brains suggest I use for the audio on the basis of the above outlined gear?

Scenario 2
Short 120 sec RUN AND GUN moving about town interview with some dude talking about how super duper his new company is.
Gonna use natural outside lighting.
Video sorted.

What do your expert brains suggest I use for the audio on the basis of the above outlined gear?

Scenario 3
Short 4 min RUN AND GUN moving about town film with some chick acting her socks off...
Gonna use natural outside lighting.
Video sorted.

What do your expert brains suggest I use for the audio on the basis of the above outlined gear?

REALLY WILL SEND YOU ALL MY BESTEST EVEER VIBES if you can help me out..and my vibes NEVER fail :-))

Cheers
george

What i often do with a similar set up (zoom h1, on camera shotgun, small lav). Run the lav directly into the zoom and treat that like a wireless setup. Mount that directly to talent and hit record, let it run for the duration of the shoot essentially. (get yourself a big memory card for the zoom, micro sd cards are cheap and easy to come by. 16gb will run me for over 12 hours i believe. Then i run the shotgun on the camera or on a boom for sync audio and possibly something usable if it works out. I would use that set up for the 2 interview styles. For the 3rd scenario its a bit tricky because while she is acting its hard to say what the mood of the piece will be. When you are micing somebody you have three priories.
1. get useable audio where you can hear the talent
2. get as little line and background noise as possible
3. match the perspective and mood of the shot.

what i mean by #3 is, you want to mic the talent close when its a tight shot and wider on a wider shot. You don't want your viewers seeing somebody form across the room but hearing a whisper in their ear. At the same time you don't want to mic a dramatic scene the same as a comedy, you would mic a drama a lot close and possibly a bit breathy while the comedy would be wide and clear with lots of breathing room for laughter.

SO for scenario 3, assuming you do not have another person around to help you as a boom operator, i would do the same thing. run the lav on the girl and shotgun on camera.

Thank you treynolds!
Very useful info - especially about the parallel sound capturing techniques and upping the memory card on the zoom (just ordered a 16gb one off amazon uk).

But does anybody have any experience with the sescom cable -25db attenuation with can monitoring?
And specifically in combination with:

-zoomh1
-and mic to zoomh1 to cable to camera?

Thank you!!
