Nikon D5000 Vertical Ripple Effect

I have seen many tutorials concerning noise reduction, stair-step removal and all the tricks to stabilize my footage (fixing skew/jello/rolling shutter effects). However, the video recorded by my DSLR has another ugly effect. It basicaly looks like water waves which move upwards the screen. These ripple effects do not have a constant strength, they are either almost invisible or derailing the whole footage. When it comes to cleaning up the video, I'd like to get rid of these artifacts as they completely ruin the shot. A simple test, which can be downloaded from dropbox: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2940578/waves.wmv. Please help.

This is another effect caused by the rolling shutter, and occurs under artificial lighting when your shutterspeed does not match the frequency of the electricity in your destnination. In 50hz (PAL) countries you need to use a shutter o 1/50th and in 60hz (NTSC) areas you need to use a shutterspeed of 1/60th to eliminate this phenomenon.

Thank you very much for the advice! But I think that unfortunately, D5000 manages the shutter speed automatically during d-movie mode. Although it can be changed in manual settings, I don't think it really affects the video. Either there's no difference or I'm blind of some kind. ;p
