Nikon D3300 / D5300 HDMI PAL Output

I went in to buy a D3300 today to use along with an Atomos Ninja 2 HDMI recorder and discovered to my suprise that the HDMI interface only outputs a 1080P signal at 30 frames a second or a 720P signal at 59.94 fps even when the internal recording is set to 1080-25P and the camera is configured as a PAL camera....can someone confrrm for me that this is in fact correct as every setting I tried it still only output NTSC frame rates via HDMI?

I was able to get a 1080 25P signal from a D7100 but tried to get PAL from a D3200, D3300 and D5300 and NONE of these cameras output PAL frame rates....really cant believe this is true but the Ninja detected ONLY NTSC input signal / frame rates from all of these cameras except the D7100. What a stupid oversight / limitation on Nikons part as they have missed a sale today as I had cash in hand ready to purchase.

Anyone able to coax a PAL signal from the HDMI out and if so how did you do it?

Thanks in advance.

Just checked with the d5200. I can only output 29.97 and there seems no way to change it.

Thanks...that has been my experience with the lower end bodies. Looks like the D7100 is the only option other than their pro bodies that outputs 25P via HDMI. We refugees of PAListan are once again shunned and overlooked.
