I just assisted a friend doing his first video shoot on his D300S. The shoot was an industrial how to. The camera was set on manual exposure and the lens was not zoomed during any shot. The demonstrator wore a white hard hat and almost every time he entered the frame, the was a visual shift in exposure. Is this normal during video capture? Is there any way to prevent this? I come from the dedicated video camera world where this is not an issue. Anyone seen this before?
