Unfortunately it only records 1080p @ 19mbit/s, I read. Until Nikon provides higher bitrates, it won't do much for semipro market.
Why do you always compare bit-rate? Convert it to some uncompressed format, and THERE you have it!
Bit-rate tells you about as much about the quality of the video as the color does about the speed of a car.
Compare the quality of single frames instead.
Again. You can choose aperture and shutter speed manually before you enter liveview like the D7000. To change you have to go out of liveview and back again. Not the best most efficient way to do it, but...
You can adjust shutter speed while on live view.
And you can adjust aperture also on live view with those nikon lenses that have aperture ring.
There you go. For those complaining about lack of manual control. Are there DX sensor size Nikon lenses with aperture rings? I thought aperture ring lenses were all full frame 35mm.
No, there aren´t. But you have unexpensive nikon AIS lenses that feel much better for video shooting than any DX lens. Or the expensive zeiss...
Can´t you afford the D7000?
Ok. With the crop factor.
DX/FX lens same crop factor on APS-C cameras.
