Nikon adapter for AF-100

Novoflex

It pretty much stays attached to my Tokina 11-16. If I was changing lenses back and forth on one mount I might look for something made differently, I'm of the opinion that you should have a dedicated adapter for each lens. I'm not sure I see any practical advantage to a micro-adjustable aperture (at least more micro than what is possible with the Novoflex).

OUCH...

I have 17 Nikkor lenses! 17 x $450ea. = get outta here.

6 x PL lenses x $800ea = crazy stuff!

Yeah, like I said in my post. If I needed 23 different lenses to do my work I might look for something made differently than the novoflex. I would also be really interested in seeing how even the most expensive PL adapter stands up to a year or two of rental pace work.

Eventually it all comes back to the various arguments pro and con for Cinema style HQ zooms, and we've traveled forward to the past somewhere in the 60s or 70s when people figured out that a zoom even with all its compromises was cost effective and more efficient.

Even getting adaptors for a set of 6 primes would be around $2700 at that rate (although when I adapt my lenses to use on a canon DSLR, I go that route, but those adaptors are a thin PITA to change, and are only like $10 a pop, so it is worth it).... I want someone to make a adaptor that I can leave on the camera and forget it. Something along the lines of the red nikon mount, that is screwed in place. That would make my day. Short of that (as admittedly that is not practical for most people), I REALLY want something that when mounted felt as solid as native mount, did not leak light or have play in it, and was easy to change lenses and did not interfere with the camera otherwise. I leave my adaptor on the camera 99% of the time as I use only nikons, and really wish there was a perfect solution.

Thanks Shooter, I'll be taping mine up...very disappointed that the most expensive adapter has that issue. But otherwise its solid as a tank.
