Nikon 70-200 for AF-100

Any thoughts on this one? And which version is best for the AF-100.
I have a Canon L 70-200 f4 but no iris control and its slow. Still comes in handy. I have a shoot next month that could require that range and I don’t think the Canon will do. I wish I could afford the RED 50-150 but used it’s still very expensive.

Did Nikon make a Parfocal version of the 70-200?

Erik: I'm still using my 90's version of the Nikon 80-200 f/2.8 EDIF. It's a push-pull zoom and focus, parafocal lens that's amazingly sharp and the one-hand focus/zoom operation is quite intuitive and easy. At least half of the shots in the Klamath waterfowl vid, http://vimeo.com/33060088 were shot with this lens on a Voigtlander MFT adaptor.

That 80-200 is probably going to be my next lens purchase (whenever that becomes possible). My Bigma covers the range just fine, but often isn't anywhere near fast enough. Loved the 80-200 when I borrowed one.
