[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]Up for sale is my Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 AFS.

It's in great cosmetic shape, has no marks on the glass, focus is fast and accurate on Nikon SLRs, the zoom ring is damped and pulls smoothly, and the lens hood lock doesn't slip.

My asking price is $850 (including shipping) for the following:
Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8 AFS lens
HB-31 lens hood
Front/rear lens caps

I find myself shooting with my primes more often than not, and I'd like to sell this lens to fund an upcoming photo trip opportunity. This lens works nicely on the AF100, Sony FS100, and Sony VG10. I used this extenstively to shoot a short film recently on the VG10 and AF100, and it was a handy lens to have in the kit.

I'm looking to make a quick sale, and I will consider *reasonably* lower offers if you can pay ASAP. Shipping to US residents only via USPS Priority mail or UPS Ground - your choice. I can expedite shipping for additional cost.

Is this lens Parfocal - i.e. does it hold focus at 2.8 when you zoom from 17 to 55?

It is not a parfocal lens - it is a photography lens by design, but it happens to work well for video/film making if you think of it as a "Variable focal length prime". If stopped down to about f/5.6 or so, it does hold focus if you zoom in to 55mm to set focus though.
