Nikon 1.4 vs 1.8 $30 difference

I'm about to buy a nikon 50mm and I have the 1.4 for $80 or the 1.8 for $50. Is the $30.00 dollar difference worth getting the 1.4 over the 1.8? Both in excellent shape. What'd ya say?
 
I personally think so. If all else being equal on the lenses and you can afford it go for the 1.4. Or buy both and I'll take the 1.4 off ya :)

craigslist...i know a guy selling one for the nikon 50mm 1.8 for $50.00 right now if anyone wants his email. I went with the 1.4
 
The f/1.4 is much better in my experience. I had the f/1.8 but was never happy with the sharpness or contrast from it. The 1.4 is much better. I sold the f/1.8 after i got the 1.4

But then again i really only do still images.
