Hi Guys,
i am fairly new to the world of DSLR and just got my D90 a week ago. Beside the stock lense i purchased also the Nikkor 50mm/f1.8D as it was highly recommended.
Now i try to record D-movies in low light conditions and i did try kholis guide to achieve low ISO recordings.
Now here is my problem:
If the lense is not connected to the camera i can open and close the Iris with the manual arperture ring. Once i connect the lense (with f22 and locked) with the body, the camera opens the arperture blades completely.
When i now turn the manual arperture ring (and i tried every Mode here) the arperture blades dont move.
Whatever i do with the manual arperture ring the lense doesnt react.
Is there something wrong with my Lense? Does the camera override it?
How can i adjust arperture manually with the ring when shooting videos?
Is it only possible with full manual lenses?
Is there a workaround for that?
Thanks for your help
Harry
