thanks

The usual recommendation is Fotodiox Pro. The non-pro are cheaper, but not so good. A couple of months ago I bought a few very cheap adapters from ebay, for my least-used lenses... and they turned out to be great, I clearly prefer them over the non-pro fotodiox. I got them here.

(mind you: the ones I use are Leica-R-to-Canon, and the Nikon-to-Canon are a bit more problematic: being a lot smaller, and with a more difficult way to get to the release mechanism, low-quality ones have a tendency to get stuck on the lens; I still would go for the kacha-szkacha ones, but consider the fotodiox pro if you'd rather pay that price to be a bit safer)

what can you guys tell me about old lenses being radioactive due to rare metals being used in glass back in the 80s any concern there?

Makes them easier to find during night shoots.

I've used pretty much all the cheap Nikon adapters I've ever seen, and I think I do prefer the really cheap ebay ones.

They're great
