Hey everybody, Check out the new teaser for my upcoming feature film which will start principal photography in February 2012. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJSXzLsbnAg We shot this test/teaser with the Max Latitude Hack and a Canon FD 28mm and learned a hard lesson of the difficulty of lighting night time shoots. This is only my second upload here so any and all constructive criticism is welcome. I edited in FCP 7 and used AE CS5 for the VFX, Magic Bullet Looks for the majority of the color grading. Looking forward to hearing all input!

wow, very nice work. I enjoyed it a lot. love the ending too!

btw, I liked your sound design and I'm learning little by little on my own but can I ask what kind of sound you've put when you pulled out the gun at the end?
gun shots and reloading sounds are easy to recreat but I'm having a hard time achieving the gun handeling types of sound so I though I ask...

Thanks for the feedback. I did the Sound Design in Soundtrack Pro. I compiled firearm sounds from a few different Counter Strike sound libraries. For the revolver draw you're referring to, I layered different pieces from a few different firearms. If memory serves me correctly, one was from a deagle sound replacement pack (bulldraw.wav) and the other was elite_deploy.wav. I'll pull the project file off my external hd soon and get you a more definitive answer, though.

Yeah, I was trying to re-creat the deploy sound for the revolver and just searched google taking your advice.
and guess what, I think I was able to find the exact same sound you used :)
thank you so much for you advice. no more waisting time recording sound effects.
