Nightlove - Alright
Director/DOP: Thomas Helvenstine (me)
Assistant Director: Taylor MacNicholas
Hair/MUA: Natalie Rene'e
Produced and Engineered by: Gino Colleti

This music video, for myself was more of a passion project and in my eyes has been the most rewarding, and fun project I've worked on. It was shot over a span of 2 days in Denver, Colorado. Both days being +12 hours. Walking backwards for nearly 2 days flying a Ronin - M put INSANE amounts of stress on my calves, but it was WELL worth it!

Production Specs:
GH4
Metabones Speedbooster XL EF Mount
Rokinon 35mm T1.5 EF
Sigma 18-35 1.8F EF
Tiffen Variable ND Filters (77mm/72mm)
Ronin-M
Aputure VS1 Field Monitor
Edited/Graded in Premiere Pro CC
FX/Title done in Adobe AE
ADJ 5P Hex Par Cans x2
512 LED panels x2

Any project that I've worked on with the GH4 has proven time and time again that I am not a fan of the noise, especially utilizing VLOG. Even when keeping ISO down to 400 on the entire project, and trying to light some of the darker shots with ample amounts of light, I constantly find myself battling the noise and it's become a nuisance. Maybe it's time to upgrade and grab an a7sII or a6500. I'm not a DP working on high end productions with a lighting crew, so it's probably best to invest in gear that will do the job for me, and for what I need it to do in the time being!

Any and all critiques/criticisms welcome!!

I think the GH4 preformed exceptionally well. You might be too critical when comparing a more expensive camera, that is designed specifically for low light shooting. Your project turned out very good and seems to work for the intended purpose. The A7 is a great camera, but so is the GH4
