COMMERCIAL: Nightclub promo

Hey guys, I used my hacked GH2 to finish this promo for a buddy's dance night. Do you have any thoughts regarding it? Anything I could improve? It's my first project using this camera.

 
I like the overall look you're going for. Even though the effects might have been a tad overdone at times, it works for this mood.

Biggest problems I had were that

1) It's a bit too long. You could shave off 30-45 seconds, and make it more dynamic.
2)I don't know how tall you are, but most of the footage seems to be looking down on the people. Get that camera to chest height and it will feel much more dynamic, especially with the dancing.
3) For a video that is advertising a dance, the dancing felt a bit stale. If you could have gotten closer, or in the middle of people dancing, it would have added an intensity that isn't there right now.

Overall though a nicely put together video. I like the colors and the editing, while slow, is well thought out.
 
Thank you! I agree with you, it could have been a bit more dynamic. I will remember that for next time. Good points on the suggestion of being more intimate with the subjects. It could have made the celebration seem more intimate and inviting.
