Night v3 - all bare EX1

My buds and I spent a decent amount of time on this, and are quite happy with the way it came out. I think it's got something for everybody, if even just remembering being a kid again.

Nothing was scripted, planned, or even thought about really. We just filmed our freetime. I think it came together pretty well and would love to know what you think. All footage is bare ex1 except for a tiffen polarizer on the car shots. If anything this video shows just how versatile this cam is, car mounted shots, handheld rollerblading shots, garage door mounted, utility cart mounted, extremely low light, pitch black, indoors, outdoors, parking garages with 20 different color temperatures, if you can think of a condition to shoot in - it's probably in there somewhere. I've absolutely fallen in love with this camera

Nice :D

I liked a lot the various musical pieces and their editing with the image, where are they from??

Awesome looking footage man. And a nice keepsake of your youth. I wish I had a nice camera when I was a teen. I had a "portable" betamax consumer camera. It was this full sized VCR with a strap that goes over your shoulder, and a camera with a cable that goes from cam to the VCR. Anyway, you'll love having this footage when you're an old man looking back.

Like I said in the vemo response, I'm almost there with the money for my EX1! I'm thrilled that all of your footage was straight from the camera. Sure vemo put artifacts all over the place, but the color of the camera still shined through. I was interested in one shot near the end with a blond guy sitting. It looked fuzzy/diffuse like you ran it through Magic Bullet Looks. Was that from a picture profile? Awesome...

I also liked the Daniel Johnston remix. I love his stuff/story. Who did the King Kong remix?

Take care man.

Thanks! yeah, I can't imagine the amount of nostalgia this'll bring back in 20 years.

And you're gunna love the ex1, its almost a perfect camera. But to clarify, the entire thing was graded with magic bullet. By naked I meant no on camera filters or 35mm adapters. sorry! To me all the footage looks extremely bland, as we were shooting in winter/end of winter and everything on mother earth was grey and faded. Not the ex1's fault!

The song is:
B. Fleischmann - Phones, Machines And King Kong

It can be pretty hard to find, ill pm you

Well, yeah it was winter, but the camera still shines. It captures what was there. I could see a scene in a feature like the one where you were shooting with the guys skating out the back of the car. Something a little more planned, but something about that would be a great break in the story, right before something bad happens in the plot - the calm before the storm. Shot in winter, but on a clear day in afternoon sun during "magic hour".
Hey man keep experimenting! YOu've got something going here man.

Catch you later.
