Nice short in Venice (Italy) by Philippo

I wonder--and please do not take it as criticism--if DoF was exaggerated on purpose. In many scenes, my eyes had difficulty readjusting and/or missing ambiance because of blur. Capability testing?

He uses a tilt-shift lens in a few shots.

It looked absolutely horrible, but I don't think it was your stuff. I think there's something wrong with the Vimeo link. I'd like to see what it really looks like.
Is anyone else having trouble viewing this piece?

If I get shots with my AF100 at this quality I would be a happy camper. I like Filippo's work a lot.

I watched it again on Vimeo and it still looks horrible. Major pixelation, banding and false color. I'm downloading the file to see if it looks better.

I found the same on HTML player but when clicked on "switch to Flash Player" bottom right of Vimeo screen it played fine. Loved the short, great visual story telling with subtle use of camera moves, focus shift and moody lighting. Well done Filippo.

Many thanks again for your comments guys!
Unfortunately, internet is not the best way to see a video and also if you download the H.264 file is not the best way.
I can assure you that, as you know, when I see the video from my timeline is much more better.

Thanks CineStill. I switched to Flash Player and it looked great.
Fillppo, I'm sure it looks better on your timeline, but it looks pretty damned good on Vimeo too.

Filippo- you had the ADCOM head and SmartSLIDER Pro 800 on those skinny little Manfrotto 755MF3 legs? Impressive! And lightweight, I guess?

Would you mind sharing your Gamma/Matrix settings? Grazie!
