I'm getting tired of not ever really finding the perfect camera bag for my GH3. I have owned numerous DSLR bags which works great but don't work for a rigged camera.
I use the Honu cage with a Kamerar loupe designed to work with the Honu cage. I also use a set of rails with a matte box and follow focus. It would be nice to find a video camera style bag where this setup could fit without having to take everything apart all the time.
I used to have a Porta-Brace video bag for my old Canon XL1 which could fit such a setup but it has nowhere to safely hold extra lenses. I no longer have the Porta-Brace bag since I sold it with my XL1 years ago.
I guess what I am looking for is a bag with the space to fit a large size video camera or a DSLR rigged out but still have dividers or space for lenses. A cage along makes it difficult to sometimes fit the GH3 into a traditional DSLR bag. I don't mind removing the matte box and follow focus but I would rather not have to remove the cage and rails all the time since I take great care in putting them together just right.
I thought of a Pelican type case with cut foam but I would like to still keep this as compact as possible.
I should note I also use a Rode NTG-1, Tascam DR-60 and sometimes an external monitor with this setup. I know the 7" monitor will never fit but accounting for the mic and sound recorder would be nice as well.
