NFL - Large Sensor End Zone Cam... Your Thoughts?

Chicago @ Detroit on Fox - quite a few large sensor/shallow DOP shots on the right side camera, none (that I saw) on the left. I saw a quick shot of the camera operator running around with a DSLM on a gimbal. The error/out-of-focus rate was close to zero.

Raiders @ Dallas on CBS - a lot of shallow DOF shots all over the field. I looks like it's on a SkyCam too.

And now the Bundesliga joins in the fun (or whoever its broadcast partner is). On one closeup shot, it looked like a 35mm lens at F2 or so. The look was so shallow, Hal was complaining.

But on some of the NFL sequences, they must be using a telephoto because they get the in-focus shots of the QB's as they are listening to the play being called on their helmet radios while still in between the hash marks. And, IMO, those are some great images.
