A word to the wise about wise sxs cards and nextodi type backup devices...
They do not work together. The NextoDi unit does not recognize the Wise SxS card when inserted directly or connected by USB hub.
I have not had any issues with Wise Cards in the past nor with the NextoDi backup device.
It is hard to say whether it is the wise card not conforming fully to SxS specs or an issue with the NextoDi device.
The card apparently is not receiving power.
NextoDi is aware of the issue, to the extent that the incompatibility is noted in release notes to an older firmware upgrade. Support was predicted but apparently does not exist in the latest versions.
Whatever the case, the Wise cards do not appear to emulate Sony cards in every way. This may have to do with their built in USB. This may also be a problem in other, yet to be encountered, situations.
