FS7: next firmware change User LUT's menu

I just sent the following suggestion to Juan Martinez for the next firmware change in the FS7 . I can't think of anything else easily do-able that would be more valuable. If you agree chime in here as I know they do watch these forums.

These days we are all using many different LUT’s for different situations. I have them even for different white balance situations other than the preset 3200,4300 and 5600 choices.
However the menu will only allow us to load 4 at a time and only identifies them as User 1,2, 3 or 4. This is quite confusing if you have an SD card loaded with perhaps a dozen or more LUT’s.
So the 2 changes many of us would like to see are


1 - Have the User LUT menu read the name of the LUT rather than simply 1,2,3, or 4
I’m guessing this would not be that difficult.




If possible the other valuable change would be :
2. - Make it possible to load more than only 4 User LUT’s at a time.

I too wish the user lut menu would retain the lut name as it does on the file menu when loading them.

What is wrong with keeping as many LUT's as you want on an SD card and simply loading desired LUT into one of the banks? Does it really take that much more time? This way you can see their names and can keep gazillions of them.

Yes it takes a lot of time when you are working fast, and it means you have to continually double check what LUT your using by going deep into the menus to see - "Oh what do I have in LUT #4 today" .
You should be able to simply see it on your viewfinder. If you have to load it each time you use it why even bother with 4 places?
