NEX7 vs GH2

Totally wrong.

I was only stating what is obvious for me and many users around me! Of course I acknowledge that many can use the photo function for their own good. But I never did, and none of the filmmakers I know did. Even TL can now be created without the photo function so if you bought the camera to make movies, I assume that you are photo shooting as an hobbyist...

Besides that, we all know that a photo camera will always be a compromise video one. If you want pro level stills you're going to end with a lees than pro video image with all the problems that we know.

So I was only stating that if manufacturers gave me the choice between 2 DSLR, similar priced with the same functions but one having a video sensor, I definitely would go for that!! In the end is all about what you want to do it...

I think you're not seeing the point here. They are still cameras, not fully dedicated video cameras, remember that, if you want a full feature video camera, Sony has the FS-100, Panny has the Af-100. The stills market is way bigger than the indie filmmaking market. Think about it from a business perspective, would you, as a business man, prefer to sell a product to a huge market, or cripple those sales for a much smaller market?

...Which should be great for video, but what good is a 2 Mpx still camera ? ( even cheapo cell-phone cameras have higher resolution )
