I've got interested in flying the FS100 and started looking for the SEL 16mm pancake and converter, only to find the former is on back-order almost everywhere around the world (and certainly here in Poland, CVP of the UK, and B&H in the US). Does anyone know whether this lens has been discontinued? Or can you link me to some reputable on-line shop that has it currently in stock?

This is what they're showing:

Currently unavailable.
We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock.

:(

It took me months to get mine.

The plant in Thailand where it is made was destroyed in the floods. They're only just getting back into production and a few are trickling across the globe.

I got mine from Park Cameras in the UK. They are selling it new but unboxed as comes from one of the NEX stills packages that people don't want. They only had a couple though.

If you want a really good wide angle for the fs100, get the tokina 11-16 in Nikon or Sony alpha mount

There's no doubt the Tokina is a fine lens but the pancake is so light and compact it makes for a great little steadicam lens. I have a neck injury that limits the weight I can support on my Merlin. I think I remember Piotr being similarly afflicted.

Thank you guys for your input - I've just purchased both (the lens and the converter) through Amazon.co.uk :)
