I posted up a review of the Sony NEX-FS700 in the Amphibico Genesis housing a few weeks back (FS700 Genesis Review), the main reason for purchasing the housing in the first place was in preparation for series 2 of the UK version of Celebrity Splash, which started up again last week. The first episode was broadcast live on Saturday night by ITV, had peak viewing of 5.5 million with just under 5 million as the average.
All went very well, the housing has continued to be a dream to work with (far easier, quicker and lighter than the Gates housing I used last year), and the technical bods in the OB truck were very impressed with the quality of the signal and image received from the Sony NEX-FS700, also way better than the Sony EX1 we were using last year. For us, great to increase the versatility of the FS700 with yet another trick it can be relied on for.
On the technical side for those that are interested, we were shooting 50i, all standard speed (i.,e. no slow mo) using a REC-709 gamma curve. The Odyssey 7Q was there, but purely as a return monitor to get the broadcast show so we knew where we were at.
There's not much available on line at the moment, I'll try and post some links up once they find their way to youtube.
Cheers
