nex-5n codec: does it break easily in post?

I've read some people complaining in other sections of the forum that the footge from the 5N, even if it looks nice, tends to break in post, even earlier than that from the canon DSLRs - any comments from happy 5N users?

Here is my take - full disclosure - I have 2 x NEX 5N

My cutter of choice is EDIUS, and my working codec is Canopus HQ (fine) which is a ten bit codec

I normally shoot in Portrait (-3,-3,-3) with everything on the floor, then grade in After Effects (EDIUS exports to AE).

Occasionally I get some banding (normally this is the exception) and when I do, I change color profile (read color palette) for one which has more gradient in the banding color, (normally blue). After Effects supports different profiles (cool) and I have built up my own recipes over the years.

When folks are trashing the codec maybe they are working directly with it. I would always advocate using a robust intermediate.
