How are your thoughts using the HVX200 as a ENG cam? It has news Gamma, there is a P2 store.

*How is it shooting 'one hand above the crowd', how fast is it in Run and Gun action? *Speed or need to offload the cards?
*The low light an highlight clip capabilities?
*And, how is the DVCpro50? (thats is mostly used I think) .

Is the weight and working process holding it down? the DVX100 and Sony PD170 are used a lot for standing IN the still picture group of journalists, so close to the subject.
 
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the P2 system was first tested as an ENG application. I believe when higher capacity cards are available it will be a far more efficient system for getting footage ready to broadcast than tape.
 
I will use it especially as a ENG camera. I do the news for all dutch stations (nos, rtl4, sbs6, talpa) from the antilles. I did it with the dvx. But now with dv50 it will only be better. With the p2 i will have the news maybe earlier than the newsploegen in holland bring their news to the stations (I send items via FTP).
I select shots rough edit with hvx-thumpnails and send it right away over 9000 kilometrs. Now I have to scroll through the tapes. So with P2 it works very fast.
I will buy the ENG package. Camera+2-4gb+p2store
