newbie to dvx100bp

hi everyone, i just bought a dvx100bp i just want to learn everything i can about this cam settings, colours, quailty, also i use pc and edit with vegas 7.0.
what is the best quailty when shooting 24p 24pa 30p or 60i and if editing on vegas will lose quailty. also does it matter what mini dv tapes you use. I'd love to hear any info on this.
 
Well it depends on what you want I shoot 24pa because the pulldown is available in premiere. Vegas has different settings for the frame rate shot.

Use one brand on Mini DV tapes and stick to them. It prolongs the life of your heads.

Read through the forums and you will find every answer for you questions.
