Newbie questions...

Hi all,

I want to buy this camcorder for covering computer gaming events (Parties, competitions, ...), and in my free time try to shoot short movies. But the problem is that I don't know if I need the 100e or the 101e. I want to use the cam tapeless, with the jvc 40 gb hard drive.

My idea of working with this cam is:

Set it to On, let it warm 5 minutes (I've read the .pdf documentation... they say that this can reduce the sse problem if happens)

Shoot something (To the jvc hdd)

Connect the jvc hdd to the computer, edit if needed.

Publish to web or dvd...

Can I do it this way with the 100e or I'm missing something?

THe 101e adds the option of DV-in, so backing up tapes for example. The 100e won't do this for you, but as described in your workflow, you won't really need the 101e. However, you might be hitting yourself in the forehead in the future for not having the dv-in.
