Newbie- Problem capturing HDV footage

hey I'm having trouble capturing HDV footage. It says I have no input source when I have my camera connected with firewire.
What Am I supposed to do?
I have a jvc-hd100u
I can see the timecode rolling on the screen when I press play on the vtr, but I can't record. Can someone help me asap?
 
Avid Xpress Pro does not support 720/24P From the HD100 (I have one also). I am not sure if 720/30P can be captured, but I believe that Pro HD in all formats is not supported by Avid at this time in the Xpress Pro lineup.

Liquid does. MC does not yet either.
