What's up eveyone? Just got my dvx100 and I am having trouble switching from pause to record using the start/stop button. When I try to switch, it says "external dv disconnect". I am totally new and don't know what this means. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
your record settings might "somehow" be off, and switched the wrong record mode. you need to go into the menu, and switch the option to tell the cam that its not recording to an external device, but its doing it to tape . check page 51 of the users manual. and then refer to page 46 to see how to set up the recording options correctly.
Thanks IAL. I got it now. I must have switched it when going through the menus. This cam is awesome and I have been hanging around this site, which is great by the way, for some time. I hope to put up some grabs soon. Thanks again.
