Newbie - gearing up

Hi:)

I am just starting out and bought the AF100.
My Voightlander Notkton 25mm should arrive soon - many thanks to all who posted about this lens:)
I have a little money left and it is time to buy some audio equipment - 2 mics (lav & shotgun) and cable.

For my business I will be shooting interviews and for fun documentaries.

Any advice on what to buy -- lav mics, XLR brands, shotgun mics?
Dependability and no interference are priorities, and I am slightly distrustful of wireless...
Anything else should I be concerned about?

+2 on deffintaly getting another lens... I would recommend something like an 85mm and that should serve you for most stuff you need. (check out the Bower 85mm 1.4, I have it and love it. Sure, it has a plastic housing, but it is sharp, fast, and has a really sweet bokeh. Not to mention it is under $350 brand new... I love mine and have no regrets getting it over the Nikon 85mm 1.4 that is 3x the price or a 85mm 1.8 used at the same price. I love the 85mm 1.8 too, but none were available at the right price when I was looking, and the Bower has performed wonderfully. It is a great inexpensive fast prime.)

As for lavs, you cant go wrong with seinheiser E100 lavs, best bang for buck, and really the only way to go unless you want to shell out $$$$ for a lectrosonic lav kit. I find the other cheaper lavs to be really suspectible to RF interferance and whatnot, that is more an NYC issue as the wireless traffic here is really congested, but something to keep in mind, which is why I only use either e100s or the lectros my sound guy has.

For a shotgun, I always recommend the rode NTG-1 or NTG-2 as a good bang for buck mic, and the seinheiser 416 if you wan to spend the money on a good production quality shotgun that will last you for life.
