Newb question: GH2 lenses for video

First, thank you for taking time to read this, I'm a long time follower, first time poster.

I plan to buy my first HDSLR by january coming from a home mini-dv multi-camera setup and trying to do my best filming the same 2-3 events every year.

I read alot about the GH2 and it seems to be the right camera for me at this time (cost/quality) and I was wondering if there is other usable lenses than the Pannys that I could get instead of the latter. I understand I must get some IS-equipped lens, do you have any suggestions? I want to make it right the first time and spend my money on wise-buys.

You guys told us many times that you got to have the right lens for the right situation, but could you help me get those 2-3 lenses that would cover MOST of the situations without breaking the bank? I'd say my budget would be around 1500$ for lenses only, I realize it's not that much, and I place my hopes on you;)

Thanks in advance

You could try:

and adapter:

I haven't had a chance to test it yet but i have heard great things about it. Mine is sitting on my desk waiting for the GH2 to arrive. Should be a good fast general purpose zoom. Just need an adapter to use it with the camera.

Don't know if that's what your looking for but it's well within your budget.
