New York City DVX user meeting

Thanks Jarred! The three of us (FlintMI, RomanJaquez and I) have been working hard to get this going. Wish you would've still been here for this. Definitely let us know the next time you're around, or any of the mods for that matter. I'm sure all of us in the area would love to meet the guys who make this place work so well on the net.

the potential...

the potential...

yah, it should be pretty sweet. I think the docket calls for some short films, lively discussion, resource sharing, networking, and after, a social mixer at Mustang Sally's. considering how great the turnout was for a (last minute) party I had a week ago, we all have high hopes about the response and feel goody nature of this upcoming meeting.

Be there or be 4:3! :nads:

Greetings all,

We are meeting at 355 West 33rd Street on the side of B&H at 2PM, there will be signs posted there.

See you soon,

Wow! what a meeting, it was great to have so many people there. Ryan and Shawn you guys rocked, good job administrating this meeting... I am honer to have had the opportunity to work with the two of you.

I am glad to have had the opportunity to meet you all, I am looking forward for this to be the beginning of a great community of artist.

If any body here could not make it for whatever reason, try to be there to the second one, so keep your eyes open to Ryan and Shawn's posts for new updates.

Again, I had a great time, the screening was good too.

Cheers to all,

*****CORRECTION

I just wanted to make a clarification and apologize for giving the wrong information in my conversation today at the restaurant-bar about Walter Graff (my respects to you Walter), I was confusing him with Walter Murch. So please disqualify what I said about Graff... I was actually referring about Murch instead.

Talented group!

Got there late and had to leave early but had a great time.

Really looking forward to the next one.

GREAT meeting you all! Sorry I didn't get to say good bye to everyone properly--my wife turned into a pod person last night as she does for 6 days every month and it wasn't pretty!

Can't wait for the next meeting!

Thanks guys!

Robert

SEE YOU NEXT TIME

Hey all,

I'm back home now safe and sound. Boy that was a lot of driving! It was about 400 miles all together. I had a great time and was blown away by B&H. I wasn't expecting the type of system that they have setup, it was like being in the dmv. It was nice meeting everyone and putting faces to the names.

Yeah, good to see everyone. Had a great time. Looking forward to these meetings in the future. Next time I'll bring something cleaner to show.

Okay, probably not. :)

Thank you Ryan, Roman and Shawn for your time and dedication in getting this thing flying. I had a great time and learned a few great tips just from the small bit of viewer feedback after watching the shorts. I think this New York Chapter is starting out great.

As I watched Ryan addressing the group, I couldn't help but think of all the corporate executives in this country making upper six figure salaries, who wouldn't personally address their employees in a forum like this if the future of their company depended on it. Yet here was Ryan, Shawn and Roman, voluntarily leading this group, purely out of the goodness in their hearts with a dream of building good community.

My hat is off to you all.

It was a creatively inspiring and diversely talented group that showed up today.

Something great is going to brew in this melting pot of talent, I can feel it.

Looking forward to seeing you all next meeting.

Erik
