I know what you all are thinking. I've posted about my feature documentary before, but, we just finished our website, and have uploaded it. Check it out at www.splivemovie.com

PS. Check out the page for viewing the first ten minutes, you might get a real kick out of it.

Well.....

I'll be honest..the first minute I was like "ah man this is crap" but then I found myself sucked in for the whole 10 minutes.

I know think like your CEO of fundraising..it is not funny but it is an interesting documentary. This movie is really a movie about nothing but yet it is interesting. It has no beautiful imagery, or credible actors...it is just a glimpse of life. Who knows where this movie will end...but I am not surprised anymore by the things that make it.

oh...submit it to Sundance Channel..they might run it on Mondays..I believe they still have their Doc Day on Mondays. I have seen all sorts of atrocious fillm in there far inferior to this one.

briceman, just to let you know, under the cast and crew page of your website, Matt Derr's job says music compotion, not composition......thought you'd like to know.

Thanks... yeah, we'll be correcting that tomorrow... Thanks for all the comments! And thanks for the idea of submitting it to the Sundance channel Super8!

I don't like the idea of "OFFICIAL WEBSITE" being the strongest thing on every page (unless it's an clever joke poking fun at amateur filmmaker's having an "official site" because who the hell else would have a website about us, but I'm thinking it's not). Makes it seem like the title of the film or something...

Also on your reviews page there is no mention of who you are actually quoting, so it seems faked (are these quotes you guys have yourselves? because if it's a website or publication I would think you and they would want to credit them)

For some reason the video crapped out on me after about a minute or two. So far I am not sold on the idea/purpose for it. Making an indie on trying to get a date with Drew Barrymore is one thing, this seems to be in a totally different realm and I am just not sure if the interest will be there however I wish you guys the best of luck with it and the movies that follow.

Thanks... the comments are genuine from various sources. Web reviews, and personal reviews. I think you'd really enjoy the irony of the film if you watched the full ten minutes.

Hmmm...I just watched it. Only loaded the first 2 minutes or so, and it didn't peak my interest too much. Good luck though. Post the review sources because I'm not quite sure what websites would give reviews like that.

OK I just watched it, and amazingly enough I actually watched all ten minutes. It is really good and you just get sucked in. It does have that sort of Seinfeld feel, but there is something genuine and enjoyable about it. I like the fact that it looks more like video than film as it lends itself more to the realism of the project. I am curious to see the entire film.

At the end of the day, you made something and it's entertaining and good. I hope you feel great about it.

Thanks for the positive comment! Like I've said, this isn't for everyone, but hopefully some people will see the "charm" in it. If you'd like to get updates on the status of the film. Send off an email to me. brice@sigfund.com

why did you guys make that movie? what i got out of the first ten minutes is this: you guys needed an easy way to make some money... so you guys made a movie. not just a movie, though, a movie about you guys making the movie...

documentaries are probably my favorite type of film... some of the best ones are about people that nobody knows (i.e. non-celebrities). but what makes those films about average joes so great is the filmmaker giving us all a reason to want to know about these people, what they've done, etc. from what i can tell, you guys supply us with absolutely no reason to care about the mission, the people involved, or the movie itself. so it all comes down to this: what did you guys really want us to get out of this?

An easy way? No... we needed a way. Nothing we were doing generated income. So, we needed to do something to generate income(or else we'd all be out of a job), so we decided to make a movie.
