Our new web series The Vetala is now online!

The Vetala is a supernatural thriller about a hostile, yet conflicted spirit from the pages of Sanskrit mythology, and the succession of people it travels through.

Behind the scenes footage of our stunts will be online in the next few weeks, including the use of firearams, squibs, FX make-up, etc...

You can check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/user/thevetala or here: http://www.thevetala.com/

Cheers!

Whoa, extremely well done.

Happy to see that you're doing a second season. If this misses the mark in any regard it's that it feels like a mafia show, not a show about the supernatural. I love the way it started with the chase and the bullet, etc., but I wish that the reveal regarding the monster happened somewhere in that first/second episode. Even if we just saw the bloody hand and claw prints or a flash of demonic eyes before she wakes up. It's hard when something goes from reality-based to fantasy/horror with no set up or indication.

Obviously her waking up alive is an inidcation of something, but it could be friggin City of Angels, ya know? I feel like based on this first season you're not nabbing the audience that a show like this needs to survive (either a horror audience, an action audience or a mystery audience). It's not action enough after the first episode, and it's not horror enough until the last one -- and the mystery isn't anything we haven't seen before in post-life mystery stuff. The vague experiences of the main character, to me, just isn't enough to maintain an audience's attention.

So, that being said, I'm SO glad you're doing a second season so that this first season will be almost a prequal to the kind of stories that people tune in for day in and day out -- the kind of stories people tell their friends and neighbors about, right?

The production value is insane in this. Just extreme kudos all around on that. Everything was really, really well done in regards to directing, etc.

Looking forward to season 2 -- in which I hope the monster/action side of things comes front and center!
