Im thinking of buying a dvx 100 just because its much cheaper and i can't afford his big bother yet. I was just wondering....What lens and adapter do i need to buy to get that film look? What filters are good? What about mics? Guys please help me out. Is the dvx100100 still a respectable machine? Need help? Thanks...

DVX is still a fantastic machine. Its biggest negative is no native 16:9, but there are adapters and squeeze/bars. The "film look" is somewhat legendary out of the box.

As for the rest, a friendly tip (and before someone bites your head off) it is standard operating procedure on this forum to check out the search function. There's an awful lot of info on all your questions. Besides, it's helpful to get acclimated to the ethos and culture of DVXuser.

Welcome to the boards junky! Definately check out the DIY section at the lower end of the forums, it is filled with all the adapters / film look things, alled 35mm adapters.

This is where the fun begins, cause i think i went through reading about more than 12 - 15 different versions before i picked up the one im currently using.
