I didn't use this code, but I purchased Raylight Ultra with the $75 off code that came with the Sony newsletter, and has now expired.

For anyone else considering it:

The online purchase went smoothly, and the best part was that I didn't need an internet connection on my editing computer to get the program registered and working.

You see, I absolutely refuse to connect my editing computer to the internet. For the reason of avoiding viruses and malware, and also to avoid distractions when I need to get work done!

Because of that, I'll never be able to install Adobe Premiere - it needs an internet connection for activation. Thankfully, Vegas and Raylight both allow you to register from another computer.

In the case of Raylight, I got the serial number on my internet connected laptop, entered it on my editing computer, and that got me a machine ID (or something along those lines) which I entered online with the laptop, and received an activation code. I typed that in on the editing computer, and I was off to the races! It was quick and painless.

So thank you, DVFilm, for making that possible.

i have to say "many thanks" to the guys at DV Fillm on getting me up and running on Raylight Ultra and Vegas Pro 9. i had a little problem (my fault). we did it all on the phone and through email.
