EVA1: New Travel show live with Eva1 Acam

If anyone is interested, this went from self funded GH4/A7S Season 1 to small sponsorship and now a Booking.com sponsored S2 with (after much careful deliberation) an Eva1 ACAM and GH5 BCAM. Really loved the combo through 10 destinations and seven countries.

Montevideo, Park City, St. John, Lisbon, Rio, Lindsborg Kansas, Budapest, Bowen Island and New Orleans follow over the next 9 weeks.

It is a vacation rental themed show, but it is about a style of travel we've perfected with the right hosts and places more than any kind of remodel stuff you see elsewhere. We also stay in legal, sustainable businesses and try to be conscious of issued faced in some destinations from vacation rentals and over tourism in general. Bali is interesting because it is hugely popular and absolutely lives up to the hype and absolute can be authentic, just as it can be a crazy Australian party (none of that in the episode).
 
Great looking show. Would love to know some of the technical stuff like picture style. Audio gear. Etc. drone was GH5?

Nice images overall but I would skip the interview part and do talks direct to the viewer on location or just VO. It distracts to much when the interview doesn't feel integrated into the travel parts. It could also be made shorter and the sponsor part could be integrated in a better manor.

Picture style was all VLOG all the time. I use Panasonic's lots and @Kholi 's lets and manual tweaking. Drone was a Mavic Air, which now with a Mavic Pro 2 I'm shocked I got away with, but generally worked image wise. A bit crunchy sometimes in Bali for my tastes, eventually got it a bit flatter while still retaining nice color without going to 8-bit log. Sound was surprisingly often just an NTG-3 into an EVA, occasionally Videomic pro into GH5. We run'em hot and clean-up a bit. We also carried a sound devices 633 and then Mix-Pre 6 with a full set of lavs but didn't use it too much. S1 we used it all the time and I like S2 audio better. A lot better. Go figure. Still the most complex part of the show, always.

Appreciate the honest feedback @J.Brown. Interviews/no interviews and where to shoot them (in this case everyone but Matt is on location but not obviously so) is a big creative debate for us and has varied widely since season 1. We're liking this but will continue to tweak and experiment.
